Sewage Gas
Energy Generation Technology for
WWTP's |
|
High-End
Performance & Unmatched Quality |
|
Our
advanced 2G®
SE-TEC® energy
generation technology utilizes
biogas from the fermentation and
incineration process (anaerobic
digestion) of sewage sludge at
WWTP’s to generate electricity and
heat using a fuel that is both
efficient, and providing many
economic benefits. 2G® SE-TEC®
cogeneration modules are
specifically developed for WWTP
biogas applications. A compact CHP
design with integrated control-and
switchgear, thermal energy
distribution system and advanced
enclosure options.

Biogas
produced from sewage sludge is a
source of energy with no net
carbon emissions, and it has an
important role to play in the
reduction of greenhouse
gases. The anaerobic
digestion of
sewage sludge involves
fermenting it in tanks at a
temperature between 32 and 36
degrees centigrade. The
temperature in the digestion tank
is kept constant using heat energy
generated by a the combined heat &
power
plant.
The biogas
produced is then compressed before being transformed
into energy. Minimal gas treatment is
required to operate our CHP units
that are specifically designed and
built for corrosive gas types. The resulting quantities
of heat and electricity are
utilized to operate the waste
water sewage facility. Excess electrical energy can be
fed into the public electricity
grid. Surplus thermal energy is
generally utilized to heat
nearby buildings, green houses,
commercial facilities, homes, as
well as being used in agricultural
or industrial processes.
The constant flow of feedstock to
WWTP's is steady and consequently
the cogeneration plant provides a
continuous 24/7 electrical
base-load. In addition to being
environmentally sound, this type
of energy generation provides
water treatment plant operators
and water authority operations
with long-term economic benefits.

2G® is a
trusted equipment provider for
many WWTP’s all over the world.
Biogas plants are only as good and
reliable as the overall design,
and the quality of the CHP
cogeneration module converting
biogas into valuable electric and
thermal energy. We realize that
anybody can claim to use only
highest quality components,
promising reliable and efficient
systems. The difference can be
found in the details. Innovative
technologies combined with
unmatched experience result in
incomparable CHP solutions and
longevity.

In late 2009 our factory reached a
milestone of 1200 CHP cogeneration
systems manufactured, supplied and
installed. Thanks to an additional
production plant opened in 2009
and a new factory extension to be
operational in Oct. 2010, the
total number of installed CHP
systems is expected to reach 1800
by the end of 2010.
When it comes to WWTP biogas power generation our customers don’t take chances.
Time after time the worlds leading
biogas plant developers select 2G®
to safeguard their investment and
success. Why? Because there is no
higher level of quality,
efficiency, and durability
available. We could offer you
promising words,…
but the
numbers of installed units say it
all.
2G®
sewage gas CHP cogeneration plants
are excellently qualified for easy
and space saving installation. The
compact design with integrated
control-and switchgear provides
many advantages.
2G® enjoys the
highest level of expertise and
years of experience, providing
customers with attractive
advantages and value-added
solutions in climate protection and technologies for
electricity and heat generation.

2G®’s thermodynamically optimized
MAN® gas engines with 2G-Drive®
technology are ideal for WWTP biogas
(CHP) installations. The
technology behind 2G® gas engines
and their controls makes them
highly reliable, offering superior
efficiency with extended engine
life. The added benefits of these
2G-Drive® MAN® gas engines over
the conventional standard MAN®, or
any other gas engine in a similar
size range, include up to 25%
higher electrical efficiency, and
in average 35% lower maintenance
cost.
We offer more value than our
competition by focusing on
advanced technology improvements
“superior by design”, and “system
efficiency”, rather than just
packaging a standard gas engine. Our
SE-TEC®
cogeneration power plants
deliver exceptional performance
while ensuring the environmentally
friendly generation of electricity
and heat at a combined
efficiency often exceeding
90%.
Unlike most genset
suppliers who are not
really specialized in
sewage gas applications, we are exclusively focusing
on reliable, proven and
complete CHP modules that
are professionally
engineered and
manufactured. We supply a
complete factory-designed
and tested package. This
approach provides our
customers with superior
performance, higher
reliability, value for
money, decreased operating
expenses and increased
return on investment.

the entire CHP cogeneration plant
in one unit. Due to a compact
layout with integrated control-and
switchgear panel, as well as
electrically ventilated noise
protection enclosure, these
modules can be placed anywhere,
even in residential areas.
A smart and economical alternative
to traditional inside
installations, highly efficient
and much more cost-effective.
Proven reliability,... well
engineered. These rugged products
meet the demands and rigors of all
industry sectors. Our container
module product lines are comprised
