2G CENERGY receives an order for a biogas cogeneration plant in the State of Washington, generating enough electricity to supply more than 370 homes.

The 400 kWh CHP system will be installed in Lynden, WA, about 95 miles north of Seattle. It is scheduled to be installed in late 2010. Lynden-based DARITECH Inc. will build the anaerobic digester, and the Van Dyk Dairy Farm owns and operates the biogas plant. The plant is expected to produce 4706 MW of thermal energy and 3320 MW of electricity per year, with any excess power sold to the grid. The combined heat and power plant uses the 2G® agenitor®, a thermodynamically optimized MAN® cogeneration gas engine coupled with the patented 2G-Drive® technology, especially developed for biogas operations. Benefits over conventional MAN®, or any other gas engine, include much higher efficiencies, extended life, and less maintenance cost.

05.09.2010 2G CENERGY reports a very successful trade show participation and an increase of 2G's base capital.

Orange Park, May 9, 2010 - The International Biomass Conference & Expo in Minneapolis drew about 2000 industry experts and nearly 300 exhibitors to the Convention Center in Minneapolis May 4-6, 2010.

The event was a great success for 2G CENERGY. "We are delighted at the sheer number of current and future customers who came to our booth this year looking for advanced biogas CHP cogeneration technologies and a proven resource for their project challenges," said Michael Turwitt, President & CEO of CENERGY Power Systems Technologies Inc. "Quality systems, higher efficiencies, a decrease in service & maintenance cost, coupled with high reliability requirements have led to a tremendous increase in CHP cogeneration applications all over Europe, thereby creating a real opportunity for US project developers to utilize these proven technologies," Michael Turwitt explained.

In order to meet the growing industry's demands in North America, 2G CENERGY focused on its environmentally friendly biogas CHP products and processes during the show. Specifically, the company highlighted the industry's first-of-its-kind high efficiency AGENITOR®, which offers an excellent alternative to conventional gas gensets while providing the numerous advantages of higher efficiencies and cost-effectiveness. 2G's “all-in-one” and “connection ready” CHP’s eliminate the need for excessive planning and engineering, thus leading to much faster implementation and more cost effective processes with significant cost savings for the customer.

"Overall, the show was a great success, not only for 2G CENERGY, but also for the biogas and the entire biomass renewable energy manufacturing industry," says Christian Grotholt, CEO of 2G Bio-Energy Technology (2G Bio-Energietechnik AG) in Germany.

During the trade show 2G also made an international announcement of increasing its base capital by issuing 400,000 additional shares valued in total US$ 5.1 million. All these additional shares were sold at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on May 4th 2010 within minutes after the announcement.

03.31.2010 2G Bio-Energietechnik AG reports 141% sales growth after very strong fourth quarter, significantly exceeding market earnings expectations. Growth path set to continue.  - Article in the Financial Times

Heek, March 31, 2010 - 2G-Bio-Energietechnik AG (2G), one of Germany’s leading manufacturers of combined heat and power (CHP) plants, entered new sales and earnings territory in 2009. Between January and December 2009, the company generated revenue of US$ 72.5 million, following US$ 29.7 million in the previous year. Operating earnings (EBIT) of US$ 4.9 million significantly exceeded analysts’ estimates. The Management Board is very confident that the company will continue on its growth path in the 2010 financial year. As of December 31, 2009, the order book position still amounted to US$ 36.4 million. The Management Board assumes that the company will continue to chart its record course in the current 2010 financial year. 2G’s order book position almost quadrupled compared with the previous year.

12.15.2009   2G enters the North-and South American Market

At the beginning of December 2009, 2G Bio-Energy Technology Corp. (2G Bio-Energietechnik AG) in Germany, signed an agreement to expand its market presence in the Americas. Long known for producing the world’s most advanced and efficient biogas cogeneration CHP modules, 2G is now distributing its leading technologies to the United States and South America. A corporate joint venture with CENERGY provides all the necessary prerequisites to be successful in this fast growing market. 2G acquired shares of CENERGY Power Systems Technologies Inc., and this strategic acquisition opens many opportunities. From its offices in Florida, CENERGY will launch the 2G brand.

11.30.2009   2G reports strong 3rd Quarter and more than 71 Million US$ in Orders

2G reports record 3rd quarter results and significant growth in 2009. With more than 71 million US$ on the order books, not yet invoiced, the company moves strongly into 2010. 2G's excellent third-quarter results underscore that advanced renewable energy systems are essential to many customers interested to improve their energy efficiency. "This momentum in the current economic climate, plus our product leadership, gives us confidence about our business prospects going forward. As we look ahead, 2G’s game-changing AGENITOR® cogeneration technology will usher in another wave of innovation of new, powerful, and highly efficient CHP modules made by 2G”, says Christian Grotholt, CEO of 2G Bio-Energietechnik AG.

11.06.2009   2G launches the AGENITOR®, the first thermodynamic optimized modular Cogeneration CHP Plant with higher electrical Efficiency

At this year’s AGRITECHNICA trade show, 2G Bio-Energietechnik AG will be worldwide the first manufacturer to introduce a biogas powered, output-optimized cogeneration CHP (combined heat and power) module. Due to the thermodynamic optimization of the motor, we have succeeded in increasing the degree of electrical efficiency by 2.2% to 40.6 %. After extensive tests, this has now been confirmed by a renowned, independent institute. “But the work won’t stop there,” explained Christian Grotholt, CEO and Chairman of the Board. “Simulations on V12 motors with thermodynamic motor optimisation and modified turbo charging show that degrees of electrical efficiency of more than 42% can be attained.”

The new development will be launched under the brand name AGENITOR®. The higher degree of efficiency will be attained with traditional natural gas powered systems as well as with biogas systems with CO2 reducing components. The AGENITOR® is the first market-ready outcome of a development project undertaken as part of the “Central Innovation Program” sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. In addition to 2G and its leading engineering experts, the Münster University of Applied Sciences and the Institute for Internal Combustion Engines and Thermodynamics from Graz, Austria, are also involved in the project. Within the framework of the first completed development phase, the combustion engine, the gas mixer and regulation of the gas composition have all been optimized.

Currently, the project team is concentrating their efforts on optimizing gas motors with even higher outputs. “At the end of the day, the increase and the degree of efficiency will result in more profitability and a much better economy of biogas system operators,” explained Grotholt.
